This page explains, in plain English, what data BudgetWon collects, how cookies and advertising work here, and how we disclose affiliate relationships. We try to keep this honest and readable rather than burying it in legalese.
What data do we collect?
BudgetWondoes not require an account, and we do not ask you to submit personal information to use any tool. Calculators run entirely in your browser — the salary, trip and phone-plan inputs you enter are not sent to us or stored on a server. We collect aggregate, anonymous usage statistics (such as which pages are visited and which tools are used) to understand what’s helpful and improve the site.
Cookies and analytics
We use privacy-respecting analytics to measure traffic in aggregate. We may also use cookies set by our advertising and analytics providers, as described below. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings; doing so will not break the tools, since they run locally.
Advertising
BudgetWondisplays ads served by third-party advertising networks, which may include Google. These networks may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, and to measure ad performance. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits. We mark these contexts with a disclosure, and affiliate relationships never influence which option a tool recommends: recommendations are driven only by the inputs you provide. We only link to services we consider genuinely useful to readers.
